PCQHRA Breeders Futurity Trials

Tonight card features 8 trials for the PCQHRA Breeders Futurity. The ten fastest qualifiers will move on the final on Saturday, October 3.

Race 1:  8-1-5

#8 Thru The Night didn't get away to the best of starts last time out when fourth in the trials. He qualified for the Ed Burke Million earlier in the year and I expect a much better effort tonight from the outside post.

Race 2:  5-1-8

#5 Chalala Jess is a filly that is getting better with each start. She broke her maiden last out in a good time. She's got great breeding on both sides.

Race 3:  6-1-4

#6 Docs Best Card has never finished off the exacta in five career starts and finished a good second in the Ed Burke Million last time out.

Race 4:  9-6-1

#9 Much Better Reason ran too good to lose last time out when third by a neck in a stakes race. Has a good outside post.

Race 5:  4-8-2

#4 Flashy Big began his career with a big debut win but has not been able to replicate that effort in his next two starts. He's been given some time off since June and I think he's ready to fire a big race.

Race 6:  7-4-1

#7 Romantic Fire had a tough trip last time out when fourth at odds of 2-1. Hot-riding jockey Cesar De Alba picks up the mount.

Race 7:  5-8-7

#5 Tace me or Leave me ran a good second last time despite some bumping. He's making his second start under this trainer.

Race 8:  4-5-6

#4 For Pee Jay has two wins and two seconds in four career starts. She showed that this distance is not a problem in her last win and I expect another big run from here.
